How I can help!

If you are feeling stressed, angry, “stuck”, or just not yourself lately, I would love to hear more about your experience and help. If you feel like you are not living a life according to your values and life goals, I am here to help. I’ve worked with many clients who are experiencing parental stress and general life-stress. We live in a complex society that often seems “non-stop”. Some people tell me they have trouble slowing down and enjoying the everyday moments such as playing with their kids, or spending time with their loved ones. Other people tell me they are overreacting when driving, at work, or home.

Related to this, therapy can help you learn how to enjoy everyday life more fully, and manage everyday life stress with clarity and patience. In particular, I enjoy working with individuals who are experiencing life transitions, such as parenting, new relationships, or finding your career path. I am also here for those who are tired of frequently feeling angry, irritable, or tense and anxious. We can work on these things together, and I will encourage you to learn strategies and skills to manage these feelings. With therapy, you may begin to feel more confidence or clarity in managing the challenges of life hurdles and day-to-day stress.

What about persistent concerns?

I understand that there are some symptoms and feelings that seem to last for several years, or decades in some cases. If you are struggling with symptoms that are chronically impacting your day-to-day tasks and responsibilities, please consider contacting me for sessions. Conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, anger, and trauma can often interfere with managing daily responsibilities involving work, relationship interactions, and school. If you have experienced adverse life events such as trauma or abuse, there are a variety of trauma-focused treatments that are evidenced-based and well-researched that we can consider. If you are struggling with chronic anxiety, apathy, melancholy, or depression I am knowledgeable in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety and Depression
